Agile Quality Analyst (m/f)

As Agile Quality Analyst (m/f) you are member of an agile product team (following Scrum and/or Kanban) and you will work with Developers, Requirement Engineers and representatives of the specialist department on the implementation of professional requirements for our web shops. Together, you will work on test scenarios for the technical requirements and facilitate QA perspectives to the development team. Regarding the approval and release processes, you will be working as a point of contact between Development, Product Owner and Operations. You will also occupy this coordinating role when evaluating and prioritizing “bugs”, communicating with Product Owner and Development.

Within your agile product team, you will participate in the complete story-life-cycle, i.e. you will check user stories in the backlog, conduct tests, support as a mentor/coach concerning QA aspects, build up functionally and technically relevant knowledge, develop initial automated tests and conduct manual, exploratory and automated tests.

Your tasks:

  • Active and independent support of your team’s quality management
  • Planning, design and maintenance of testing infrastructure of our products and APIs
  • Design and maintenance of automatic testing scenarios for our web applications
  • Involvement in Plannings, Retrospectives and Reviews as full member of an agile product team
  • If necessary, execution of manual and exploratory tests to ensure that product behaves as needed
  • Preparation and maintenance of testing documentation and quality relevant reports

Job requirements:

  • Several years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Advanced knowledge of different testing methods
  • Experience with methods of agile software development like Scrum or Kanban
  • First experience with common QA tools and CI servers (e.g. Jenkins)
  • First experience with programming languages, ideally JAVA EE and Javascript
  • Proficient with Open-Source test frameworks like Selenium Webdriver, Nightwatch.js, and Galen
  • Ideally experience with BDD (e.g. Cucumber)
  • Competent with Continuous Deployment
  • High level of independence and strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a team and a keen eye for details
