We have built a data science team that has become an important part of the company. With over 20 years of experience as an online retailer and over 7 million customers, our data points offer endless possibilities that we would like to continue experimenting with.
You will:
- Work through the entire lifecycle of a Machine Learning project - from conception, development and operational implementation
- Combine and clean up relational as well as non-relational data, carry out complex exploratory analysis
- Use modern machine learning algorithms to identify significant data patterns
- Create a proof-of-concept by demonstrating the added value of your models together with the specialised departments
- Understand how to explain complex relationships in a simple way and how to translate technical problems into mathematical / technical requirements
Job requirements:
- Degree with a mathematical / scientific / technical focus or equivalent professional experience
- Practical experience in the development of data science services
- Very good knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases and Python or R (including common machine learning libraries / frameworks, such as scikit-learn)
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning and statistics
- Ideally experience in container technologies (such as Docker) and with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
- Very good language skills in German or English
